In 2024, she was nominated by the Samajwadi Party (SP) to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Kairana. In a closely contested election, she emerged victorious, defeating her BJP rival by a narrow margin of 8,000 votes. This victory made her one of the youngest members of the 18th Lok Sabha.
